The role of International Global Head Patient Recruitment and Management is part of the Diagnostic Services division in Medicover. 


Medicover Integrated Clinical Services (MICS) is a specialized business unit within the Diagnostic

Services division with more than 200 employees that is focusing on clinical trial and patient management that are relevant for applications and clients from pharmaceuticals, diagnostics biopharma, biotech, contract research organizations (CROs), biobanks, and other players within this clinical sector. MICS has been providing bespoke services to our clients and their patients for over 20 years, making strategic use of Medicover assets, including laboratories with state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment, medical clinics and hospitals.


The Global Head Patient Recruitment and Management (GPM) will provide global direction and ensure execution for clinical trials activities for Medicover Integrated Clinical Services (MICS) in all relevant key territories and specifically for clinical research, patient recruitment and management. The GPM will lead and develop services delivered by all respective sites and liaise with all other stakeholders, both internal and external, to ensure that processes are streamlined and collaborative. The GPM will ensure high quality, patient-centered care by leading relevant operational and business relevant activities that support the provision of consistent clinical and patient management and performance and practice standards across the different sites and hospitals.


The GPM will work with the PMA to implement and execute on patient recruitment and site engagement strategies to manage partnerships for MICS globally. Act as business expert in Clinical Trial Management and Patient Recruitment for internal and external customers and to drive Business Development, Clinical Operations and Sponsor Management. In addition, GPM has to orchestrate and lead all assigned Site-Managers globally to effectively manage a remote global patient recruitment team.


Duties and responsibilities of the GPM:

  • Sets and oversees the execution of an ambitious and comprehensive recruitment roadmap and trial specific plan for patient recruitment and monitoring
  • works with PMA to implement accordingly for Clinical Trial Coordinators to maintain the medical quality and effectiveness of the MICS / Medicover organization
  • coordinates together with the PMA the interactions with academic thought leaders, and manages the interaction with investigators, cooperative groups, and other clinical stakeholders
  • leads interaction with key stakeholders and sponsors relevant for global activities including Clinical Operations, Business Development, Legal Affairs, and Media & Marketing teams to develop content to support clinical trial recruitment. This includes but is not limited to: landing pages, emails to potential clinical trial participants, surveys, upcoming trial announcements to relevant populations, ads for IRB approval, scripts and talking points for physician to physician connections
  • Leads Product Team and Tech Team and provides direction to scope out and implement necessary trial specific platform and CRM enhancements to provide best in class application support for clinical trial participants and data analysis
  • Manages with partners, consultants, and vendors, ensuring high levels of performance, excellent communication and delivery for clinical trial recruitment strategies
  • Initiates and develops external contacts e.g., with new Sponsors, associations, or the academic community to gain insight into market and clinical changes, including competitive intelligence and organizing advisory boards as appropriate
  • Coordinates and delegates quality management and promote optimum patient experience during clinical trials also in compliance with international GCP
  • together with the PMA conducts audits to ensures that all material and activities are conducted regarding all applicable local, global, and national laws, regulations, guidelines, codes of conduct, company policies and accepted standards of best practice
  • Builds an internal culture of innovative thinking that leads to the development and implementation of the company’s patient recruitment mission and works with internal and external teams to evaluate and integrate innovative technologies for the successful acquisition of research
  • reports directly to the Head of Medicover Integrated Clinical Services 
  • will become a key member of the MICS senior management team

Your Profile:

  • Medical Doctor, Ph.D. qualifications
  • +10 years experience in Clinical Research Organisation
  • Experience in leading clinical trials projects
  • International Experience and exposure
  • Strong Commercial acumen
  • Experienced in Business Development 
  • A demonstrated leadership style that makes things happen and takes their team on the journey
  • Fully fluent in Polish and English
