In 2023, the State Expert Center received 41 statements from sponsors regarding the start of clinical trials in Ukraine. The main therapeutic areas where clinical trials were carried out were oncology, allergology, neurology, cardiology, and dermatology. At the beginning of the year, 400 clinical trials were registered in Ukraine, out of which 309 started. This represents a 64% increase in the number of clinical trials started in 2023. The number of local ethics commissions also increased from 308 in 2022 to 390 in 2023.
